Dick Guard in “Miss Tekapo”

The first pleasure boat to regularly visit Lake Tekapo was Sarong. Built and owned by Dick Guard, Alan Guard and Graeme Giddings it was a 10 ft Hydra Plane powered by a Ford 8. It was launched on Lake Tekapo 31st March 1957
