This site is dedicated to the beautiful scenery and other related events that make up the High Country area around Lake Tekapo in the Mackenzie Basin of the Central South Island of New Zealand.

George was given his first camera on his 10th birthday.  The ‘50s and ‘60s were a special time for George. He would explore his surroundings with fishing rod over one shoulder and his prized Kodak 127 over the other. 

This would develop into a serious pursuit of outdoor and landscape photography, as George would capture the unique mood that is the Mackenzie.
